How We Create Beautiful Stamped Concrete

Stamped concrete requires skill, timing, and experience. We start with the same careful prep work as any concrete project. That means proper excavation, a solid compacted base, and steel reinforcement. But then we add extra steps that create the decorative finish.

After we pour and smooth the concrete, we apply color hardeners or stains. Then, while the concrete is still workable, we press stamping mats into the surface to create the texture and pattern. This step requires perfect timing. Too early and the stamp will sink too deep. Too late and the concrete will not take the impression properly.
